Quality Analysis of Hardware Stamping Parts

Jun 25,2023

The common defects of metal stamping parts include deformation, burrs, etc; Cracks, warping, surface scratches, angular deformation, etc. of bent parts; The flange wrinkles, wrinkling of the drawn wall, damage to the drawn wall, and cracking of the drawn part; Flanging cracks, uneven bulging, etc.
The methods to prevent and eliminate defects include: mold design should have reasonable clearance values between convex and concave molds, fillet radius, and machining accuracy. When designing bending molds, effective measures should be taken to reduce rebound and subtract the amount of rebound from the mold; Design reasonable rounded corners to prevent bending cracks. When drawing, use edge pressing rings to prevent wrinkling, and the pressure should be moderate; Reduce the drawing resistance with appropriate lubrication to prevent mold adhesion or workpiece pulling through.
